Pivet has partnered with multiple global, enterprise partners to empower their employees to make sustainable purchasing decisions through a dedicated e-commerce portal.  These partners are capitalizing on the reality that they can make changes to their existing business practices without massive overhauls to their business, or increased costs that can take a toll on their overall profitability. 

Leveraging Pivet’s existing mobile accessories portfolio to outfit their employees with much needed device protection, while also being able to track, quantify and report the environmental impact has proven an unexpected success for the partners.  They are enabling their employees to ‘protect their devices while protecting the planet”!

The Problem

Multiple global, enterprise partners have sought out ways to meet the aggressive ESG metrics they have set both internally and to the public.  While some of the ESG metrics might require significant changes to their business practices, they were also seeking solutions that could be implemented that didn’t impact their bottom lines, could be easily reported, and provided a clear, demonstrable environmental impact.

Pivet Solution

Pivet has worked with these partners to create private, secure e-commerce portal/shops that enabled their employees to begin purchasing Pivet mobile accessories (protective phone cases, screen film, charging cables, etc.) at a discount from what they would pay at market.  When opting to buy from the secure portal, the employee’s transactions were now able to be accurately tracked at the level of detail the partner desired. 

Furthermore, the transactions were able to be utilized for their ESG efforts by showing the amount of plastic their employees were ‘removing’ from landfills when they moved to a Pivet plastic.  Knowing the new products would breakdown in years when introduced to nutrient rich environments (aka landfills) when recycling is not utilized, meant that the partner could claim the transactions in their ESG reporting.  Over time, the reporting would grow from pounds to tons of plastic that have been ‘removed’ from landfills when discarded.

Partnership Value Adds

Employee Engagement – The portal Increased employee participation in sustainability efforts, provided them easy access to eco-friendly products, and enabled the partner to track and report the activity.  A ‘win/win/win’ situation for the partner, its employees and the planet.

Sales Tracking – Aggregating the employee transactions towards the e-commerce portal enabled detailed sales tracking and reporting for the partners ESG metrics.  Reporting customized to the partners requirements enhanced their ability to easily integrate the reporting to their existing ESG metrics. 

Cost SavingsThe partners have been able to realize significant cost-savings by partnering with Pivet and driving their employees to purchase from the portal.  These partners offered reimbursements or ‘per diems’ to their employees to purchase from market.  Employees purchasing via the portal received significant discount from the market retail pricing which translated to cost savings to the partner.  

Sustainable Solutions – Introducing the Pivet product assortment to their employees allowed them to take immediate advantage of the proven sustainability of Pivet products.  Their employees were able to ‘go green’ simply by choosing Pivet.

Market Appeal – Pivet’s solution provided an Increased appeal to the partners environmentally conscious customers, a segment that continues to grow.

Diversity and Inclusion – By partnering with Pivet, the customer was able to also diversify its supplier base given that Pivet is one of the few Black-owned companies in the tech space.
